Changes..........

Well, we have had quite a few changes in our lives the past couple of weeks. We have had kids start school, one starting high school, the baby in school all day now, and mom is home ALONE(Could mean trouble or FUN!). Either way, its a big change from craziness to quietness. Kam lost his first tooth, Jace decided he wanted to learn to play the Cello, and Brittany wanted(very badly)contacts instead of glasses. Not that these are big changes, but they are changes that remind you of your days as a child, growing up, and just the new memories you are making as a family together. I love every minute of it and it is absolutely wonderful!!! I do not have a picture of Brittany yet with her contacts, but she loves them. Below is Kam and his first lost tooth, and Jace with his cello.

***His exact words were "Dad, I cant believe you just did that to me!"

Being a parent is never a dull moment. Some moments you wish didn't happen, some you cant wait for them to happen, and others just make you laugh, cry, or remember how grateful you are that this was your true calling on earth. Happiness is truly found deep down in the heart of a family!! I wouldn't trade mine for anything!

Family Vacations

We try to do a family vacation every year, but so far this year, we have only been able to take one. We traveled to Lakeside, Arizona to visit my family. We havent been able to go there often, and we dont get to see ALL the cousins and Aunts/Uncles at once either. But this year, we got to see all but 2 uncles. We missed you Uncle Clay and Uncle Ron. Other than that, we got to see Great Grandmother Lemons, Grandma and Grandpa Webb, Aunt RaeLynn, Uncle David, Amber, Del, Raechel, Dallin, Carsen, Aunt AnnMarie, Aunt Jessie, Uncle Nate, Addie, Jenna, Kinley, Nolan, Aunt Sarah, Cayla, Madi, Aunt Chanell, Uncle Skylar, and Chandlar. These are all of my neices/nephews plus our kids.

They had tons of fun, rode sand twisters and 3 wheelers, slept in tents, went to parks(Thanks Miki and Levan), played baseball, roasted marshmallows, and all that fun stuff. Not to mention the tree trimming, chain sawing, limb cleaning, and we will not forget the septic tank adventure..............digging to find it, Skylar being the champ he is and "Opening" it up(GROSS)!!!

I too like Chanell, did not get many pictures, took the camera, but never really used it(FIGURES)!!! The girls of the crew gave each other pedicures/manicures while the boys, well they were just boys. Chris and David went to the shooting range for about an hour or so. It was great fun and we truely did enjoy our time with the WEBBS!!!! Hopefully we will see eachother soon, and not 5 years soon either. But time can only tell!!

To My Mom.........

I do not get to see her often, but I think of her daily. Each day as I go on with life, I sit and think about the similarities between me and my Mom! My mom was never too affectionate, but you alway knew that she loved you. She never wanted you to get hurt, or see you hurting. Now that we are all grown up and have families of our own, I often wonder how many phone calls she gets from each of us asking for advice and wondering what she would do in a certain situation. I know that I call her often and appreciate being able to talk to her. Mom, I love you so much and I thank you for all the Volleyball, Basketball, Softball Games and events that you endured throughout our childhood. I see everyday now what you went through and how much dedication it takes to be there for your children. If I didnt have the example that I had as a child, I would not be the mother that I am today!!

I love to clean!!!!

When I was growing up, I remember that I hated, absolutely hated cleaning my room!!! I always shared a room with my sister Sarah and cleaning days were quite eventful. I remember the days of placing masking tape on the floor and telling her to keep her crap on her side and visa versa. Oh the good ol days!!!! But let me tell you!!! My older kids have it great! If I had a little brother that "wanted" to clean my room without even being asked, man I would be in heaven!!!! Kam is such a good help around the house sometimes. This was a day that he was OVERLY HELPFUL. He had cleaned his room and said, "I still feel like cleaning". So off he went into the boys room then onto Haylee's room. Jace and Zak usually keep their rooms clean, so all he did was really make the beds in there. But, if anyone knows HAYLEE!!! WOOOOWEEE!!! he had his work cut out for him. I wish I could have gotten a before picture of her room cause he did an A-W-E-S-O-M-E job!!! Thanks Kamryn for cleaning our rooms!! Needless to say, he got rewarded with a new toy!!!

Here he is with his new toy, courtesy of Haylee!!! I must add that this is just after finding him because he lost it!!! He was so happy!!!!

Time flies when your in love!!!

Chris and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary last month! I cant believe it has already been 6 years! We had so much going on for our actual anniversary, so we celebrated it later that night and into the next day. I had to work, Chris was at home with the kids. He took them to the store to pick me out some roses and goodies. Haylee and Kamryn did such a great job with the roses don't you think? The older kids were all out doing their own stuff. When I got home from work, I was surprised to see that the card he got me was exactly the same card I got him. It was such a fitting card, I guess we both just felt it was the one. Ha!

After I got all ready for the evening, we took the kids over to their aunts house where they had a "Romp Day"(that's what Uncle Steven Calls it). All of their nieces and nephews from both sides were over for the evening. Chris and I headed out to dinner, Olive Garden YUMMY!!! Then went shopping for the evening. We normally don't shop alot because neither of us really enjoy it. But we had fun, and got a few things we or I liked. We decided to check the bowling alley in the area and the wait was 1 hour and 45 minutes long.............holy cow!!! So we decided to head out to the hotel and get checked in and see what the room was like. After Checking in, we enjoyed a slice or two of a cake that a good friend of ours made for us. It was a double layer 8" cake, Chocolate with strawberry filling and Cream Cheese frosting. She can make one dang good cake!!!! After lounging for a bit, we called the bowling alley again and the wait wasn't that bad, so we headed out to bowl. We bowled 2 games, each winning one, but tying in the end with a high score totalling 211 each. So, no single winner this go round.

After bowling, we decided to head back to the hotel. When we checked in, we noticed that we were right by the one and only In-n-Out Burger in Utah. No, we weren't hungry, but their fries and shakes sure did sound good. When we left for bowling, the line for the drive thru was so long, I couldn't believe it. But when we got back, it only had a few cars so we decided to grab a shake and fries. Chris had only eatin at In-n-Out once, but I used to have it often when I was working in Scottsdale. They were delicious.

We got back to the hotel, watched the movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still(I think that's what it was), but both fell asleep during it. Wasn't too impressed with it. We got up the next morning, ate breakfast, shopped a little more, then headed back home to be with the kids. They enjoyed the cake as well and had a great time with Aunt Laurel and Uncle Stephen. Thanks for taking them so Chris and I could have a great evening together!

I love my husband, he means so much to me and he works very hard for us! I look forward to many MANY more years with him!

School Science Fair Projects

This year, both Jace and Zak had to participate in the school science fair. I think both boys had a ton of fun doing their science fair projects. Jace chose to compare toothpaste and how well they clean your teeth. This was an interesting and fun experiment for him. He chose Crest, Aqua Fresh, and Colgate toothpaste. If you didnt know, COLGATE is the big winner!!!! It definately brightened up the egg better than the other two! He did not win any awards in the science fair itself, but his teacher had a little class competition and he got 100% on his science project. I am so proud of him and how hard he worked on it.

Zak worked on all of his with his mom and they did an great job. He chose to compare the difference between wearing a helmet and not. His turned out great and he had a lot of fun working on it as well.

We are so proud of all of the hard work they put into these projects and most of all, they had fun doing them.

Jaces Birthday!!!

Jace turned 11 on December 19th. I am very late with wishing him a BLOG style Happy Birthday, but better late than never. We love this little man!!! He is a tremendous help around the house and is so fun to watch play sports. He is such a competative player and is very talented. We hope Jace makes the best of his 11th year and continues to grow better in everything he does!!!

We Love You Jace!!!

Do I have too???

Well, seeing that the last time I updated anything was before Christmas, and it is now February, I will need to fill the gap I guess!!! I will have to post pictures of our Christmas later, we didnt really take too many photos but we had a blast. I think that the kids were pleased overall with the deliveries that Santa brought. Kamryn was so very pleased as usual. We had a late night on Christmas Eve as the excitement was too much to bear. Kids finally went to bed at around midnight or 1 and were up bright and early at 5!!! What The HECK!!! After opening presents, visiting Grandma Lanan and other family members, we started to wind down. Zak headed to his mom's and Jace and Brittany caught a flight on Sunday Morning to go to their dads! We love being able to share the whole Christmas eve/morning experience as a family. We are so greatful to Matt and Jaime for allowing that to happen for our kids. We know it is a great sacrifice for them but are so thankful we get to celebrate it with the whole family.

For New Years, we did the usual. We always head to Ethan and Kira's for the evening. We had a lot of fun this year, but missed some of the family. Brittany, Jace, and Lanan were not able to be there. We ate lots of good food and played games. The kids ran and ran, danced to music, and played hard. I think that our kids had just enough to last til Midnight. We packed up after the big celebration and headed home around 1am. By the time we got home, Zak, Haylee, and Kamryn were all asleep in the car and had to be awakened to walk from the car to the van. Thanks Ethan and Kira for a wonderful NEW YEARS EVE!

Hope everyone has plenty of New Years Resolutions and Goals Set! Hope you all have a Happy and Save New Year!!
