Chris and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary last month! I cant believe it has already been 6 years! We had so much going on for our actual anniversary, so we celebrated it later that night and into the next day. I had to work, Chris was at home with the kids. He took them to the store to pick me out some roses and goodies. Haylee and Kamryn did such a great job with the roses don't you think? The older kids were all out doing their own stuff. When I got home from work, I was surprised to see that the card he got me was exactly the same card I got him. It was such a fitting card, I guess we both just felt it was the one. Ha!
After I got all ready for the evening, we took the kids over to their aunts house where they had a "Romp Day"(that's what Uncle Steven Calls it). All of their nieces and nephews from both sides were over for the evening. Chris and I headed out to dinner, Olive Garden YUMMY!!! Then went shopping for the evening. We normally don't shop alot because neither of us really enjoy it. But we had fun, and got a few things we or I liked. We decided to check the bowling alley in the area and the wait was 1 hour and 45 minutes long.............holy cow!!! So we decided to head out to the hotel and get checked in and see what the room was like. After Checking in, we enjoyed a slice or two of a cake that a good friend of ours made for us. It was a double layer 8" cake, Chocolate with strawberry filling and Cream Cheese frosting. She can make one dang good cake!!!! After lounging for a bit, we called the bowling alley again and the wait wasn't that bad, so we headed out to bowl. We bowled 2 games, each winning one, but tying in the end with a high score totalling 211 each. So, no single winner this go round.
After bowling, we decided to head back to the hotel. When we checked in, we noticed that we were right by the one and only In-n-Out Burger in Utah. No, we weren't hungry, but their fries and shakes sure did sound good. When we left for bowling, the line for the drive thru was so long, I couldn't believe it. But when we got back, it only had a few cars so we decided to grab a shake and fries. Chris had only eatin at In-n-Out once, but I used to have it often when I was working in Scottsdale. They were delicious.
We got back to the hotel, watched the movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still(I think that's what it was), but both fell asleep during it. Wasn't too impressed with it. We got up the next morning, ate breakfast, shopped a little more, then headed back home to be with the kids. They enjoyed the cake as well and had a great time with Aunt Laurel and Uncle Stephen. Thanks for taking them so Chris and I could have a great evening together!
I love my husband, he means so much to me and he works very hard for us! I look forward to many MANY more years with him!
